Intercall

(Analogue telephone and door station adapter.)

Designed for properties without an existing PBX (with or without PSTN lines) to allow connection of a door station to an existing analogue telephone. Using the Intercall, you can combine your existing telephones (wired or cordless) with one of our analogue door stations giving you a secure, remote controlled entry - remotely open a gate or door from your telephone keypad.

The Intercall can also be used as an intercom control unit. By connecting two analogue telephones and placing the unit in hotline mode, secure communication can be established between any two points.

Applications

• Residential properties requiring a secure entry without the usual infrastructure of a PBX.
• Warehouses / goods stores which may have a roller door or boom gate that needs to be opened remotely for deliveries.
• Prisons and other high security environments where two people engaged in a conversation are separated by a barrier.

Product Information

• Provides an interface between a door station and your internal analogue telephones without the need for a PBX or additional telephone line for your door station.
• Allows you to be on a telephone call and a tone will be heard when someone calls from the door station.
• Allows you to call the door station either for remote programming or to assist someone.
• Can be used in conjunction with a PSTN line.
• Can be used as a standalone product without a PSTN line.
• Provides a distinctive ring when the door station is calling (except if the answering phone is a cordless).
• Provides a series of 4 short tones when you answer the door station so if you are using a cordless you can differentiate between a normal phone call and one from the door station.

Operation Modes

• Hotline Mode. If either phone is picked up the other will start ringing immediately.
• Dial Tone Mode. You can either enter a telephone number or, if nothing is entered within two seconds, the other phone will automatically start ringing.
• Exchange Mode. Passes PSTN calls through to your internal telephones.

Technical Specifications

• Ring voltage is approximately 70 volts RMS - sine wave.
• Line feed is 35 volts open circuit.
• Unit supplies approximately 33mA to each analogue telephone / doorstation.
• Includes a SELV rated power pack to convert from 240V to 12V @ 500ma.
• Dimensions: 210mm wide x 325mm high x 120mm deep.

Mounting and Customisation Options

• This unit is designed to be surface mounted in a location convenient to existing communications cabling.
• Other customisation options available upon request.
