You probably find that main problem with many VoIP implementations is that they are either “add-ons” to your existing system, they can't be integrated correctly into your least cost routing table, or that they don't include all the different communications media which can reduce the costs of your organisations telephone bills. VoIP isn't the only technology that can save you money; negotiating deals for your landline and mobiles can save money. For example, Dallas Delta has a plan where calls between mobiles on the company account are free for the first ten minutes. We have installed a GSM adapter onto our telephone system and programmed it so that whenever someone calls a company mobile, it is routed via the GSM adapter rather than the landline which would cost considerably more.
The NovaTec TransNova range is designed to overcome all of these problems by combining all the technologies commonly found in business to give you a smoother communications experience.

Introducing the NovaTec TransNova
There are many features of the NovaTec TransNova Media Gateway which are worth mentioning:
- “All in one”. In the one box you can have ISDN (both basic and primary rate) interfaces, GSM adapters and VoIP connections. This means that the one device does it all.
- “One set of programming”. Where you previously may have had to program different devices and checked that they each worked with their own programming, you can now “set and forget” by programming one device with a least cost routing table.
- “Reduced Cost GSM Calls.” Calls from landlines to mobile telephones are traditionally more expensive than mobile to mobile calls. By installing a GSM gateway you can cut some of the cost of these calls and still use your standard desktop telephone. The implementation of a GSM gateway in most cases, is transparent to the end user.
- “Multi-Path Fail Over.” If your GSM doesn't work, the calls will be sent via the ISDN network. If the ISDN network fails, the GSM network will process the call. Transparent to all your employees, the TransNova will automatically find the best way to process the call.
- “Concise Call Record Details.” The TransNova system maintains details about every call that is transacted through the system. This helps for finding faults as well as call charge back in multi-client systems.
- “Centralised Remote Management.” The TransNova system is capable of being managed via an IP link. This means that once installed, all units can be managed remotely from a central office (probably where IT is handled from) to reduce the turn around time of upgrades and changes to system configuration. Using an SOS (Sea Of SIMS) Server, you can also centralise storage and management of your GSM SIM cards making it easier to change carriers and ensure the lowest operation cost.
- “SMS & Email Functionality.” One of the advanced features of the TransNova is that it can SMS you when you receive an email, or send an email from an SMS. This tool is very powerful for sales people and technical staff who are out of the office but have urgent issues that they need to deal with.
- “Advanced Budgeting Controls.” The TransNova can be programmed in an almost unimaginable number of call routing configurations including based on time of day, and extension based permissions for destination number. You can now stop those unauthorised calls before they happen.
- “Intelligent GSM Call Routing.” The TransNova equipment can have several SIM cards per GSM transceiver installed. This allows the system to figure out which SIM card has the cheapest rate (based on time of day), which SIM card has the most credit left for the month (prepaid and post-paid) or which SIM card will provide the lowest toll for the call about to be transacted.
